With over 30 years of experience in education, coaching, and applied sport psychology, Dr. Christian Reed is a dedicated professional committed to fostering academic excellence and athletic achievement. Holding a PhD in Health and Exercise Sciences from the University of Missouri-Columbia, along with advanced degrees in Psychology from the University of Rochester, Dr. Reed combines scientific expertise with a deep understanding of human behavior to empower students and athletes alike.
Throughout his career, Dr. Reed has taught subjects ranging from Exercise Physiology to Sport Psychology, providing students with the tools they need to succeed academically and personally. As a track and field coach and applied sport psychology consultant, he has helped athletes maximize their performance through evidence-based psychological strategies and individualized coaching. As a competitive distance runner for the past 43 years, Dr. Reed has earned numerous accolades, including NCAA All-America honors in both track and cross country and induction into the University of Rochester Athletic Hall of Fame.
An advocate for continuous learning and innovation, Dr. Reed remains committed to advancing the fields of education and sports science. Whether in the classroom or on the track, his passion for mentorship, performance optimization, and student development continues to make a lasting impact. Dr. Reed currently resides in Columbia, Missouri with his wife of 25 years, Paige, and their son Marshall.
