Career Assistance

Professional staff are available to meet individually with students to discuss any issues related to career development and planning. Students often seek assistance in the areas of choosing a major, developing a focus within a particular career field, gaining experience in a career field, writing a resume, preparing for an interview, graduate school support and learning job-searching strategies.

FOCUS2 is a career assessment tool available free of charge for students.  The assessment helps students discover more about their strengths, skills, values, interests and how these personal attributes fit into a career field. This assessment is often used in conjunction with meetings with our career counselor to discuss results and develop a career plan.

What Can I Do With This Major? is a career exploration tool available to students who want to explore common career areas within a major, typical employers that hire in a field, and strategies designed to maximize career opportunities. The information is representative of typical career paths associated with each major offered at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ.

Additional resources are available on an individual basis based on a students’ needs and career plan.

In addition, Reeves Library has career over 100 career-related books are available for check out and numerous FREE publications with current career-related and graduate school information available to students.
