Career Assistance
Professional staff are available to meet individually with students to discuss any issues related to career development and planning. Students often seek assistance in the areas of choosing a major, developing a focus within a particular career field, gaining experience in a career field, writing a resume, preparing for an interview, graduate school support and learning job-searching strategies.
FOCUS2 is a career assessment tool available free of charge for students. The assessment helps students discover more about their strengths, skills, values, interests and how these personal attributes fit into a career field. This assessment is often used in conjunction with meetings with our career counselor to discuss results and develop a career plan.
What Can I Do With This Major? is a career exploration tool available to students who want to explore common career areas within a major, typical employers that hire in a field, and strategies designed to maximize career opportunities. The information is representative of typical career paths associated with each major offered at Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ.
Additional resources are available on an individual basis based on a students’ needs and career plan.
In addition, Reeves Library has career over 100 career-related books are available for check out and numerous FREE publications with current career-related and graduate school information available to students.
